New HQ for Grangers International gets underway at Markham Vale.

Work is underway on Grangers International’s new Head Office on Henry Boot Developments and Derbyshire County Council’s flagship regeneration site at Markham Vale, off Junction 29A of the M1.

To commemorate the start, a Ground-Breaking Ceremony took place on Tuesday 15th May 2018 for the new state-of-the-art facility, comprising of a warehouse unit and high quality office space which will be the new home for Grangers International, following their re-location from their current premises in Alfreton, Derbyshire.

Construction of the new 43,000 sqft development is being undertaken by Derby based contractor G F Tomlinson, who have successfully delivered two previous scheme on Markham Vale for Henry Boot Developments.

The extensive new facilities will allow Grangers to consolidate existing operations, whilst also creating a significant number of jobs and have the capacity for future expansion.

Grangers are known for the manufacture of protection and cleaning products for clothing and footwear, spanning back over 80 years, with established brands such as Cherry Blossom and Fabsil. Within the new facility, a purpose-built laboratory will allow the company to continue developing its product range.

Andy Sewards, Managing Director at G F Tomlinson said: “We are extremely proud to be working once again with Henry Boot Developments of the Markham Vale site, having successfully delivered similar schemes for them. We are also delighted to be entrusted to construct this new Head Office facility for Grangers International, who like G F Tomlinson are a long-standing Derbyshire company providing sustainable employment for local people”.
