Carbon Reduction Plan

G F Tomlinson operate across Central England and is one of the Midlands largest independent construction companies. We recognise our activities generate greenhouse gas emissions from energy use, waste, travel and the construction services we deliver and are therefore contributing to the Climate Emergency we all now face.

Our aim is to proactively reduce our carbon footprint from our own operations, and our supply-chains to achieving Net Zero emissions by 2035, well ahead of the target of 2050 set by the UK Government in the Climate Change Act. Our Carbon Reduction Plan is how we will deliver on our commitments.

Our Plan builds on our BS EN ISO 14001 UKAS accredited Environmental Management System and our Greener now For a better Tomorrow strategy. Together these define robust management processes and procedures and an overarching strategy for minimising our own environmental impacts, working with our supply chain to help clients decarbonise their estate, and delivering buildings designed to be zero carbon in operation with reduced embodied carbon.
