Design & Build
This £1.6m project was procured following a 2 Stage Tendering Process and was led by Coventry University and co-funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
The unit was developed to provide free business consultancy services and opportunities for creative sector enterprises. The ICE brings together researchers, graduates, business and enterprise support professionals to collaborate and help grow the regions cultural and creative sectors.
The project consists of the strip out and refurbishment of the former Oyez Straker building at Parkside, Coventry, to create the Institute of Creative Enterprise for Coventry University.
The work also consists of new accommodation, internally and new facades plus M&E installations and associated services.
Construction Period: 41 weeks.
The building and facilities were required to provide a high quality, constructive and mutually beneficial environment, that could naturally aid the artistic flow of work, and utilise the business start up and entrepreneurial expertise flowing from the nearby Techno Centre facility.
