Design & Build

This scheme involved the demolition of the existing sports centre and changing areas and extension to provide new facilities including two new swimming pools, changing areas, reception/offices, gym, squash court and activity rooms.

External cladding included cedar board panels.

The construction was made more difficult due to the necessity to work around existing plant and equipment, keeping it live until it was relocated.

Contract Period: 36 weeks

The Centre remained open to the public for the duration of the contract and therefore required the Site Management team to possess good interpersonal and organisational skills to ensure all parties were kept fully informed and all operations were smoothly implemented.
