The scheme comprises state-of-the-art, innovative buildings to inspire students and staff for generations to come.
The Pavilion creates a new front door to the campus, providing a sense of gravitas with a symmetrical facade and pre-arched concrete ceiling panels. This unique facility enhances the campus identity with a bespoke hub of learning and social spaces.
KEY ENVIRONMENTAL FEATURE
Exceeding the University’s sustainable agenda, it is the first building on their portfolio to achieve Carbon Negative standards, and when built in 2022 it was officially the lowest carbon university building in the UK. A BREEAM Excellent and EPC ‘A+’ rating was achieved through use of mixed mode ventilation, natural daylighting, passive cooling, CHP and PV array, delivering 0.147kgCO2/kWh operational energy.
We were selected to work with the University to deliver the regeneration of the Clifton Campus, one of the most successful and rewarding projects in Nottingham Trent University’s history. We specialise in working within live environments with minimal disruption to our clients and surrounding facilities. Our attention to detail, forensic approach to design and construction and robust quality control mechanisms ensured high specification materials were seamlessly blended together to deliver an exceptional finish throughout.
Contract period: 60 weeks
“This project has been a huge success. It has transformed a tired and unloved campus into a vibrant and cohesive environment for students to learn and be inspired. The level of detail and finish is on an unprecedented level. With its use of clever design and timeless material, the Heart Of The Campus will look as good in fifty years as it does today.”
